Chimp Haven, located on more than 200 acres in Keithville, is the home of over 200 chimpanzees, and serves as a perennial delight to visitors. Most are retirees from biomedical research, but some are former entertainment stars and pets. At Chimp Haven, these apes enjoy the freedom of living in large social groups in a spacious, outdoor habitat.
Take advantage of Chimpanzee Discovery Days during the summer and fall, to visit and observe the chimpanzees in their natural, forested habitat. Multiple educational events and programs are also available.
